Lighten Your Load

organize

According to Marie Kondo, an organizational guru, “Putting your house in order is the magic that creates a vibrant and happy life.”

The Caring Place can help. We want you to clean out those closets, bedrooms, and offices and let us take on the burden of figuring out the next step for your gently used items.  We think you know why.  We turn your stuff into support for our mission by selling it. However, we know there is relief in donating your stuff as well. Making space in your homes allows you to make room for new stuff in some cases. It also can provide stress relief. When you walk into a cluttered room, does it give you anxiety or fill you with an uncomfortable feeling? You definitely aren’t alone. If you feel that way, then you are probably someone who would benefit from a periodic reset. For many, that reset is more meaningful if you know your belongings have a second life through a thrift store benefiting neighbors in need like The Caring Place.

Marie Kondo says to keep only those things that speak to the heart, and discard items that no longer spark joy. In 2023, if “less” is what you are shooting for, then try the Marie Kondo approach and let The Caring Place take care of the second life of your new or gently used items. If lightening your load through donations to The Caring Place makes you feel less burdened and more productive, we want to hear about it!
