
The Caring Place Responds to Community Support Amid Flood Relief Efforts
Georgetown, TX - The Caring Place is deeply moved by the incredible generosity of our community in response to the recent flooding. We have seen an outpouring of support, with individuals arriving with truckloads of donations. While we are truly grateful, we want to clarify that The Caring Place is not currently a designated drop-off site for flood relief donations.
Our organization remains committed to serving the community through our ongoing programs and services, which include basic needs assistance for families in crisis—including flood victims—with food, housing, thrift store vouchers, transportation, and more.

As of 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7, Williamson County Emergency Services has requested a pause on all physical donations. The county is transitioning into the recovery phase and is currently assessing damages and needs. This pause will help ensure that future public support is targeted and effective.
Williamson County Emergency Services is the official and primary source for public information, holding regular press conferences and working to secure a federal emergency disaster declaration for the area.
