$1 = 5 Meals
Your financial support allows the Food Pantry to supplement donated foods and fill our shelves with a variety of items. Because the Food Pantry purchases food in large quantities, your donated dollars stretch farther. As a result, when you donate $1, The Caring Place can provide 5 meals or 6 pounds of food.
$18.25 feeds a neighbor for a month
$73 feeds a family of 4 for one month
Can you help feed your neighbors?
In 2026, The Caring Place has distributed more food to more families than ever before, and the holiday season will be no exception. To help keep our Food Pantry stocked, we are calling on our amazing community to help us provide 500,000 meals to neighbors in need during Hunger Free Holidays. From October 1st through December 31st, The Caring Place will collect both monetary and food donations to reach our goal. Together, we can care for our neighbors in Georgetown and northern Williamson County.
What Kind of Food Should I Donate?
Thank you for helping fill the Food Pantry! While you can donate most in-date non-perishable food or hygiene items, we have some items on our wish list this holiday season! During this year's Hunger Free Holidays, we hope you'll consider donating canned vegetables (October), canned proteins (November), and canned soups and tomato products (December). These items are very versatile and popular with neighbors shopping in the Food Pantry. Additionally, this helps our volunteers and staff spend less time sorting food donations and more time serving our neighbors. It's a win-win!
