Welcome

The Mission of The Caring Place is to provide for the basic human needs of all people in our community in a welcoming, respectful and caring way.

News & Blog

The Caring Place is deeply moved by the incredible generosity of our community in response to the recent flooding. We have seen an outpouring of support, with individuals arriving with truckloads of donations. While we are truly grateful, we want to clarify that The Caring Place is not currently a designated drop-off site for flood relief donations. Learn how and where you can help with Flood Relief Efforts.

As The Caring Place celebrates 40 years, meet Betty Miller—our spirited volunteer of 35+ years whose dedication and heart have helped shape our mission and community impact.

Lori’s job didn’t provide enough money for her to support her family on her own and eviction was eminent. Like many families who find themselves in a crisis, she began weighing her options and that meant trying to justify which bill to pay. “Do we pay for electricity or food?” were the questions she was asking herself. It was probably the need to ask herself these questions at all that spurned her looking for a resource and she found The Caring Place.
