If fall is your favorite season, then Second Helping’s annual Fall Y’all shopping event is the place to be. This year due to social distancing requirements, the event will be held over three days, September 1st through 3rd and will only be open by appointment. Make appointments at caringplacetx.org/shop.
Second Helping, a thrift store run by local non-profit The Caring Place, is hosting their second autumn themed shopping event. This furniture, decor and specialty store will bring out all things fall beginning on September 1st. Autumn décor, vintage linens & quilts, primitive pieces, fall foliage, seasonal finds and unique gifts will be available for purchase.
Store Director, Ann Lind says, “Fall Y’all as a shopping event came about last year because we know our customers get excited about the changing seasons especially in Texas. Even though this year the event will be limited by utilizing appointment scheduling software for shopping, we wanted to keep the tradition alive. Shopping for good is a vital part of The Caring Place model and Second Helping is part of that. The shopping our community does in our stores impacts what we can do for our neighbors in need.”
Second Helping is located at 3700 Williams Drive in Georgetown, Texas. Regular hours at this time are Monday through Friday, 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and appointments can be made at caringplacetx.org/shop. Face masks and social distancing are required and limited appointments allow for a safe shopping environment.
