The Caring Place Raises Funds for Coats for Kids at its 26th Annual Soup Supper

The Caring Place is holding its 26th Annual Soup Supper on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Georgetown Community Center in San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Morrow Street to benefit Coats for Kids. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.caringplacetx.org or by contacting Rita Turner at 512-943-0702.

Since its inception, The Caring Place has relied on the support of the community. “The Caring Place Soup Supper is an opportunity to break bread with our volunteers, donors and all those who support The Caring Place while raising funds to purchase coats for kids,” says Ginna O’Connor, Executive Director. “We look forward to socializing and sharing delicious soup, cornbread and dessert with our neighbors and friends.” Hundreds of people typically attend this annual event.

Voted as the “Best Place to Volunteer and Give in Georgetown” for the fifth year in a row, The Caring Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, serving its clients and communities by responding to the basic human needs of people in Georgetown and rural Williamson County.
