Jewelry Show & Gift Cards are Here!

Jewelry Show and Gift Cards Available at The Caring Place Just in Time for Mother’s Day

Georgetown, TX, April 25, 2018 On Thursday, May 3rd from Noon to 3pm, The Caring Place is hosting a Jewelry Show at 2001 Railroad Avenue in the Community Room. Also, the organization has updated the look of their gift cards. Customers will find the new cards in $20 increments at both stores beginning May 1st.

This year Mother’s Day is on May 13th and if you want to find something special but meaningful too, The Shops at The Caring Place is the place to shop. Why are gifts from The Caring Place meaningful? “Yes, you are likely going to get something beautiful at a great price, but there’s a bigger picture here,” says Store Director Ann Lind. “When you purchase items from The Shops at The Caring Place or Second Helping, you are supporting the mission to help neighbors in need.”

Recently, The Caring Place released its annual report and it shared that The Caring Place’s two thrift shops make up 68% of the revenue that comes into the organization. That amount more than covers The Caring Place’s operating expenses. Additional revenue or any monetary donations directly benefit neighbors in need. Lind adds, “At our Jewelry Shows we are able to sell wonderful pieces that our community donates to us. When you consider that purchases support The Caring Place mission and that jewelry purchases in May are often for gifts, our jewelry truly is a meaningful gift. Gift cards also make great gifts so recipients can choose their own favorite pieces.”

The Jewelry Show may just be on May 3rd, but you can find many wonderful pieces or other gift items at The Shops at The Caring Place at 2000 Railroad Avenue in Georgetown. It’s open Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Second Helping is another store offering unique and collectible items. They are open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Gift Cards can be used at both shops.
