  • Human Resources Manager

    The Caring Place has an immediate need for a Human Resources Manager to oversee all of the human capital functions of the agency. The HR Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the human resource efforts of The Caring Place, including policies and training programs.

    This position has a very broad range of responsibilities, for example: (1) recruiting, interviewing and orientation for employees, (2) counseling staff on a variety of personnel related issues, (3) managing the performance appraisal process, (4) preparing bi-weekly payroll for approval, (5) developing and implementing training, (6) onboarding volunteers and maintaining the database of volunteers, (7) implementing the compensation and benefits plans, (8) updating policies and procedures, (9) providing training, and more.
    Qualifications for this position include the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in human resources
    • Expertise in Employee/Volunteer Relations and Talent Management
    • Knowledge of employee benefits and compensation
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health/Safety and Worker’s Compensation
    • Expertise in employment law and organizational development
    • Experience working with volunteers
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Highly organized, motivated and self-directed
    • MS Office proficiency
