Senior Independence Program Manager
The Caring Place is a local, community-based nonprofit organization that has assisted families with basic human needs in Georgetown and northern Williamson County, Texas since 1985. The Caring Place is a dynamic, progressive, financially-stable, growing organization, with a broad support base of constituents, stakeholders, donors, community partners and volunteers.
The Senior Independence Program Manager is a new position responsible for developing a new program initiative designed to assist senior client families in financial crisis. The position will provide advocacy and support to increase client knowledge and awareness of local and government social services. The Program Manager will provide on-going case management services (directly and through oversight of volunteers) to senior individuals to support aging in place. The Program Manager will coordinate with community partners to link and refer eligible clients to supportive community resources. The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing training materials to ensure basic client services skills for staff and volunteers. All Programs and Services employees must ensure that professional customer service standards are met. This position is grant funded.
This is an exciting opportunity for a person who can manage multiple, complex projects while interacting with individuals in a positive, caring manner. The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, licensure preferred, experience with geriatric services, and a minimum of five years case management experience working directly with marginalized populations. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must as well as excellent computer skills: Excel, Word and Outlook.
