The total operating budget of The Caring Place in 2013 is $1.73 Million, the largest in its 27 year history of serving families in need in Georgetown and Northern Williamson County. It is projected that 66% of these funds will come from the sales of donated items in our thrift store, The Shops at The Caring Place. This is made possible because of the generosity of the community in donating unwanted, gently used items of all types for us to resell.
The remaining 34% of our operating revenues will come from special events and through donations from individuals, groups and businesses. We also receive grant funding from the City of Georgetown, The Georgetown Health Foundation, Seeds of Strength, The United Way of Williamson County, and from the Minchen-Bevelle Foundation.
The Caring Place received no county, state, or federal dollars, and continues to rely on the generosity of the communities we serve to enable us to continue to fulfill our mission of helping area families in need.
The Caring Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.
